FODP: The Mission
Friends of Devoe Park’s mission is to empower the community. Parks are the cornerstones of communities, from outdoor parties and celebrations, to barbecues and reunions, to basketball games and double-dutch on the playground. Friends of Devoe Park’s initiatives focused on cleaning, beautification, gardening, and public safety programs. All neighborhoods are deserving of a clean park they are proud of, a park where they feel safe.

Making an impact
The Devoetees go above and beyond for their community. With the assistance of their partners, Friends of Devoe Park has successfully hosted a number of neighborhood events. They continuously bring the community together through:
- Annual Backpack and School Supplies Giveaway
- Annual Easter Egg Hunt
- Annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Caroling
- Spring Sprouting Events
FODP has also organized:
- Health Workshops
- Cleanups
- Art Workshop Series
- Pollinator Garden
- Dancing in Unity Event
- Peace Rally
- Mutual Aid
